Samantha

Growing up as a dancer, Sam was always amazed at what the body can do.  While working toward her bachelor’s degree in exercise science, she was a dance teacher, personal trainer, and Pure Barre teacher. Once she obtained her degree in 2014, she continued her education by getting extensively trained and certified in STOTT Pilates. Sam has experienced the benefits of Pilates first hand and loves helping her students feel stronger both mentally and physically.

Rochelle

Rochelle Black learned of her love for movement at a very young age.  This love blossomed while Rochelle attended Ballet School at the National Ballet Of Canada.  Her love for dance carried her through a fulfilling career in the entertainment business, landing her roles in a North American tour of a Broadway Show, television shows and movies.  Rochelle realized the importance of maintaining strength, proper alignment and a strong mind body connection while performing and dealing with and preventing injuries.  This lead her to Pilates!  Rochelle has completed STOTT training for Matt and Reformer.  She is also a certified Modo Yoga instructor, as well as a barre instructor/ program developer.

Kristine

Kristine comes to you with multiple years of various types of fitness certifications and experience.  She has been certified through AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) in Aerobics, Senior Fitness, Pre and Post Natal Fitness, Deep Water Fitness through Waterfit, Aerobic Kick Boxing through Thomas the Promise, Inc. She has taught basic exercise classes for patients with Diabetes for Blue Care Network of MI, Step Classes, water Aerobics, and Aerobics at the YMCA, Aerobics at Vic Tanny Gym, Pilates at Center Courts, Saginaw Valley State University and Dow Chemical in Midland, MI. She also has been certified and taught Pure Barre for three years at Pure Barre in Saginaw.  She has been certified in Mat Pilates through Neita since 2004 and began teaching Pilates mat classes at the YMCA and The Body Studio under the direction of Laura Harriman. She obtained her full Pilates certification in 2008 with Jennifer Kreis and is a third generation Classical Pilates Teacher. She continues to learn and teach to keep her skills up to date by attending ongoing Pilates trainings. Kristine is now semi-retired and enjoys her adult sons/daughters in law, three adorable grandkids, does volunteer work with the CAN Council of Saginaw as a trained CASA, facilitates a Women’s Bible Study at her church, works along with her fabulous husband mentoring engaged couples, and just completed her four year study to become a Lay Minister through the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw.  Pilates has become her favorite form of workout as it works the whole body starting with building a strong core, in turn creating a strong back. It is something you can do until you die. She vows to never give up Pilates and continues to teach exclusively at Studio Align.
